From September through December, a full slate of teaching carnivals is lined up as follows:
Email the hosts directly with your nominations for worthy blog posts related to teaching in higher education. You can also tag any relevant posts.
Last year's series of Teaching Carnivals went very well due to the excellent efforts of nine volunteers (plus me) who gathered hundreds of individual blog posts related to teaching in higher education. I'd like to start lining up hosts for the forthcoming year, and I believe we can start hosting these once every two weeks.
If you are interested in hosting, gmail me at georgehwilliams. I would also greatly appreciate it if you would post a notice on your own blog letting people know I'm looking for volunteer hosts.
Previous Carnivals:

if anyone wants to volunteer to do the next one, let me know.
I was thinking we might wait until fall semester starts up again, but if anyone wants to give it a go sooner, that's fine with me.
Additionally, if any bloggers would like to sign up for hosting the carnival some time during the next academic year, then step right up! It's never too soon to get in the queue.
Ryan Claycomb, of Raining Cats & Dogma fame, will host TC #10 sometime around or soon after June 15, 2006. Another Damned Medievalist suggested a year-end theme of "things I learned this year/changes I'm going to make next year."
So tag your posts, or email your permalinks to ryan DOT claycomb at the domain mail DOT wvu DOT edu.
As always, you can follow "Teaching Carnival Backstage" between editions of TC via del.icio.us or Technorati.
Reminder: Teaching Carnival #9 will be hosted by Janet D. Stemwedel on May 12. Tag your teaching-related posts, or email her directly with your permalinks: dr.freeride [at] gmail
Teaching Carnival #8 is now hosted at A Delicate Boy. Nice job, Nels!
The next Teaching Carnival will appear at Adventures in Ethics and Science on May 14.
If you would like to host a future edition of the T.C. -- as the kids say -- email GeorgeHWilliams at google's own gmail dot com.
